AS82-Shwedagon at sunset, Burma
Sitting atop Singuttara hill in Yangon is the most sacred of all religious sites to the Burmese, that being the Shwedagon Pagoda. 2,500 years old and standing a huge 110 metres tall, it is the largest pagoda in the world. It enshrines strands of Buddha's hair and other holy relics. It also is covered with hundreds of gold plates and the top of the stupa is encrusted with 4531 diamonds.
