AS83-Preah Khan, Siem Reap, Cambodia

The buddhist temple Preah Khan was built in 1191 and is still largely engulfed by the massive surrounding vegetation. Left deliberately unrestored to avoid the guesswork in rebuilding, the ruins coincide majestically with dense jungle and huge silk-cotton and strangler fig trees. At one stage 100,000 officials and servants were roaming this very ancient temple.
